RSN Certificate, Jacobean crewelwork, travail préparatoire / groundwork
Je commencerai mes cours à la Royal School of needlework (RSN) par un module en broderie Crewel (Jacobean Crewel embroidery). Pour pouvoir me préparer j’ai investi dans une série de livres, la plupart d’occasion.
My first embroidery course at the Royal School of needlework will be Jacobean Crewel embroidery. I bought many books, mosly old one.
Lorsque l’on va étudier à la RSN, il y a bien sur l’ouvrage quasi incontournable de Jacqui MacDonald, produit par la RSN, traduit et édité en France par les éditions de Saxe : La broderie Crewel. SI vous lisez l’anglais, il existe de nombreux autres livres plus ou moins anciens.
The book to have, when you study at the RSN, is the book of Jacqui MacDonald : Crewel Embroidery.
Pour en apprendre davantage sur les cours du Certificat, je lis aussi, en ce moment, les expériences d’étudiantes ou d’anciennes étudiantes. Cela est très intéressant de voir leurs travaux, leurs progrès, de lire au sujet de cette aventures qui demandent beaucoup d’investissement personnel. Cela me permet de mieux me préparer et de savoir à peu près à quoi m’attendre.
To learn more about the Certificate, I’m also reading some blogs of actual and old students. It is really nice to see their works, their progress and their feeling about all the experience. It really helps me. Thank you to them for sharing. I will do the same when I will start.
